II Corinthians 5:6-8 Daniel 5:6-11 Revelations 11:5-6 Daniel 6:8-11 Hebrews 8:6-13 revelations 16:21 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord Then the kings countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his hips were loosened and his knees knocked against each other. The king cried aloud to bring the astrologers, the chaldeans, and the soothsayers. The king spoke, saying to the wisemen of Babylon, "Whoever reads this writing, and tells me the interpetation, shall be clothed in purple and have a chain of gold around his neck; and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom." Now all the king's wisemen came, but they could not read the writings, or make known to the king its interpretation. Then the king was greatly troubled, his countence was changed, and his lords were astonished. The queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came to the banquet hall. The queen spoke, saying "O' king, live forever! DO not let your thoughts trouble you, nor let your countenance change. There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God. And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the Gods, were found in him; and the king your father-made him chief of the magicians, astrologers, chaldeans, and soothsayers." And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from thier mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire. "Now O'king, establish the decree ans sign the writing, so that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter" Therefore the king signed the written decree. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks to his God, as was custom since early days. But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better Covenant, which was established on better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. Because finding fault with Them, He says: "Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Isreal and with the house of Judah- "Not according to the covenant I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the LOrd. For this is the Covenant that I will make those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their GOd, and they shall be My people. None of them shall teach his neighbors, and none his brother, saying 'know the lord' for all shall know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since the plague was exceedingly great.
